Great Planes Super Stearman

Long considered the ’classic’ biplane, the full size Super Stearman still thrills onlookers with its aerobatics. Now available as a high quality ARF from Great Planes, with all main sections featuring built-up balsa and ply construction, covered in MonoKote film and complimented by a painted fibreglass cowl, wheel spats and landing gear fairings.

Other scale touches include a dummy radial engine, polished aluminium spinner and a pair of painted scale pilot figures. A plywood ring glued inside the cowl strengthens the nose assembly and eliminates visible screw heads. Four ailerons help give this Stearman ’super’ agility, especially when each is powered by its own servo.

• The dual cockpits feature vacu-formed windscreens with painted frames, and come complete with a pair of scale pilot figures 
• A plywood carrying handle is included that makes for easy transport of the fuselage and interplane struts
• Requires a minimum of four channel R/C with 5 to 7 servos.
